Blue Sonic, Red Swirl
For GDEMU-modded Dreamcasts
The GDEMU replaces the optical drive of the Dreamcast console with a board that allows disk images to be read directly off an SD card instead. Removing the optical drive leaves an ugly hole where objects can be dropped inside your modified console. Fill that hole with a 3D printed plate to improve appearance and airflow for the cooling fan!
GDEMU mount may be black or white – it’s not visible.
Need the top in a different color? Let us know and we may be able to do a custom order.
Save the 3 gold screws from when you remove your original GD-ROM drive. These are reused for the mounting bracket and to install the GDEMU board. 1 longer additional screw is included for the corner hole. The drive insert slips tightly into the indent on the underside of the top lid. 3x 1/4″ screws hold it in place. Then all you need to do is insert the SD Card end of the extension cable into the GDEMU board and put the lid back on! You now have a clean looking install with an easy-to-access SD Card slot surface-mounted where your missing GD-ROM used to be!
